Michael P. Jasso

Michael grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where he first developed his passion for helping others. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Trinity University, focusing on teaching political science, and soon after began working at a Montessori school. During this time, Michael also completed his Master’s in Educational Psychology, gaining valuable insight into how people learn and process information—skills that have proven invaluable in his legal career.

After meeting his wife, Heather, a New Mexico native, Michael followed her to Albuquerque, where he continued teaching Humanities at Amy Biehl High School. There, he was selected as the first New Mexico teacher to attend the Supreme Court’s StreetLaw Institute in Washington D.C., a program designed to help educators communicate complex legal concepts. Inspired by his experience at the Institute, Michael reignited his passion for the law and enrolled in the University of New Mexico School of Law.

Graduating Magna Cum Laude and Order of the Coif, Michael gained experience working with the New Mexico Supreme Court and the prominent firm Guebert Bruckner P.C. At Guebert Bruckner, he developed a deep understanding of how insurance companies handle claims, gaining valuable insights that he now uses to advocate for his clients at MPJ Law Firm.

Michael’s unique background in education and psychology helps him connect with clients and clearly explain the complexities of their cases. Today, he’s dedicated to using his broad experience to guide clients through every step of their personal injury claims, ensuring they feel informed and empowered.
